3 Ways To Better Manage Your Time And Get More Done

We all have 24 hours in a day, but some can achieve so much more than others because they know how to manage their time well.

Time is by far the most valuable resource, and when you understand this, you start utilizing it effectively. Time management is what separates the best from the rest.

Here are three ways you can better manage your time and achieve more every single day;

Create a To-Do List

This might sound very basic, but it works every single time. Think about it, if you don’t know what the goal is, how can you ever complete it!

This is why creating a to-do list of all the tasks that you want to complete is effective.

I prefer adding all the tasks that come to mind in a book or a to-do app, and then I assign due dates to each task based on priority. This way I know that I won’t miss anything and this activity clears my mind and gives me better control of my time.

Plan your day and week

Planning your day and your week is another way of gaining clarity into what you want to achieve. When you note down your tasks, the chances are that you won’t be able to complete them in a single day.

After prioritization of the tasks, you can plan to complete them on some other day.

Also, planning your day, a night before or first thing in the morning will help you become less stressful and more focused to have a productive day ahead.

Delegate your tasks

When you start adding tasks to your To-Do list, you will notice that not all tasks are necessarily required to be completed by you.

This step is difficult, especially if you love to be in control, but when you learn to delegate your tasks to others, you not only show others that you trust them enough to assign them a task, but you also become a team player.

The delegation of tasks also means that you and team achieve more because once you assign a task to one of your team members, you can focus on other tasks that need your attention.

Review and tweak

One last thing that I want to add is that reviewing your day and week can help you identify activities that consume the most time and come up with solutions to reduce the time required to complete those activities or eliminate them based on their importance.
