We all dream big, and there is absolutely no harm in that. Dreaming big, having big goals is how you grow in your life and someday even achieve those goals.
However, just because you have achieved success doesn’t mean you should change and become someone you are not. In this age of distractions forgetting who are and remaining grounded is the most challenging thing to do.

Here are seven ways to remain grounded after achieving success;
Remember your Roots
No matter how successful you become, never forget your roots. Remembering where you came from helps you be more grounded and understand others that work with you. Also, when you remember the journey you took and the people that you came across to reach where you are, you start to appreciate your success.
Just because you are successful doesn’t mean you can be rude. Staying humble to others around you helps you create strong bonds that no success can buy. Your success is a contribution made by many people in your life. Every person that helped you in any way to reach where you are is a part of your success and the same way everyone you meet now and in the future will be a part of your success.
Practice healthy competition
Your competitors are not your enemy. They are people with ambitions just like. When you treat your competitors with respect and practice healthy competition, you become more than your success. For many people, only their success defines who they are, but great people are more than their success, they are icons not because they are successful but because they are different and respect others in their field.
Listen with Interest
You might have heard that to be a great leader, you have to be a great listener. However, many people just listen without any interest at all. When you listen to others with interest, you show them that you not listening to them because you have to but because you want to.
Don’t hesitate to Apologize
Whenever you feel like you have made a mistake or hurt someone unintentionally, don’t hesitate to apologize. By saying sorry for your mistakes, you don’t just show other that you regret your mistake but also show them that you care enough to actually apologize for it. People respect the person who never hesitates to apologize because they know the person is genuine and humble enough to do so even after being successful.
Connect with your friends and family
The pursuit of success usually isolates people from others. However, staying connected with people you actually care about gives you a morale boost and makes your relationships even stronger. No matter how successful you become, always cherish the people you care about because they will be there for you whether you are successful or not.
Always remember to take some time out to relax and rewind. Success doesn’t mean that you need to be working all the time. Take some time out and have a vacation with your family and enjoy the beautiful things in life. By doing so, you also avoid the risk of burnout.
