Our mind is a fantastic tool. If trained and used correctly, it can yield astonishing results. However, like every tool that has existed throughout our existence, mastering the mind requires a lot of determination and training.
It is not an easy task, but it is possible, and many have already discovered the secret of mastering the mind.
I have read so many books and articles about mastering mind that I can summarize all of that I have learned in this article. But, I am not going to do that, because talking about something that has been covered in great detail by people more experienced than me would be unfair to you.
So, today I will share a concept that I have been thinking about a lot lately and have not found a way to express it anywhere or to anyone until today!
I believe, with the amount of content and resources that are available and easily accessible by almost everyone, mastering the mind has become more accessible than before.
I have seen people drastically improving their personalities just by reading books, watching informative self-help videos and learning skills that are required to master one’s mind.
But, I have also seen people who have already done that, struggle with things that are not common.
See, the fact is that once you master your mind, you will always look for more and soon nothing would be good enough for you. And once you get into this state, you will again become a slave of your mind.
The mind will always fight back to claim control over you!
How do you break away from this cycle? This is the question we all need to think about.
And the answer is BALANCE!
To become the master of your mind, you change certain habits, and that is done through ACTION!
Yes, that is correct, ACTION. You have to master your actions first to master your mind. For instance, if you want to be fit, you have to learn exercises.
But when you become fit, you sometimes start skipping your workouts, and soon you might stop working out altogether, only to begin again when you feel you are gaining some weight back.
The only way you can be fit at all times is by ensuring that you exercise regularly, in short, you have to become the slave of the exercising. No matter what, don’t skip exercise and you will be fit and healthy.
The same way, in every aspect of life, until we become a slave of the actions that help us to be a better person, a better human being, we will not be able to master our mind.
